The expanse server has several types of stations. The three primary trade stations in the belt, the small waystations in the asteroid clusters, the three Beratnas Gas stations throughout the system, Ganymede, Medina, the MCRN Rebel Fleet and the Scrap Yard.
To use NPC stations, you must create a faction and propose peace to the CIVL
faction. Then dock your ship to the station (no trade mode needed), and head for the store blocks inside the station.
Vesta is a good starter trade station to visit once you’ve started building up an outpost, but it can be dangerous.
If you want to stay safe(r), check out the waystations in the Greek and Trojan asteroid clusters.
Nation Headquarters serve as trade stations with some unique offers to the nation's citizens.
All NPC stations are traffic hotspots and prone to PvP outside the 'trade bubble'.
Keep your drive signature low, be on your toes and stick to the trade zone rules!
A stowaway may try to sneak onto your ship in a trade zone. They'll try to hijack your ship once you leave the no-PvP bubble or they may let you lead them to your base location. Kindly ask them to leave before they grind your cockpit or find your base. They'll have to comply while still in the trade zone.

(behind the Sol Gate)The belt has three main trade stations spread out across it; Pallas, Tycho, and Vesta. You can buy and sell items at these stations. Each one is a little different in what they sell or buy, and they usually have different prices available. These stations are vital to progression. They also house Beratnas Gas stores where you can buy fuel cans to refuel your ship by placing them in the Extractor block.
All trade stations sell basic tech components, fuel, and early game ships. Do not sell to the bulk stores when starting out; they have worse prices. There are packages that can be crafted via the packager block or looted from NPCs, and they can be sold to all the major trade stations with a FedEx store (Pallas, Vesta, Tycho and Medina).
This surface installation buys packages, converts ores into ingots, and buys a large amount of diamonds per refresh.
Converting means selling a resource (e.g. iron ore) to one store, waiting for a bit, then buying back the processed resource (e.g. iron ingots) from the station.
GPS:Vesta Station:-1527126.94:1289103.69:-43375:#FFD6931E:
This surface installation buys ingots, packages and ice. The ice is converted into Ice Boxes and Water Tanks.
Any fuel station buys Ice Boxes, but Water Tanks can only be sold at Ganymede or Medina.

This space station buys more packages than the other stations and will convert High Tech Scrap into UBC. You can also find 4 stores run by players; they are put on auction each month on the Discord.
Tycho has the largest selection of buyable ships available and the best prices among the 'Tycho Tech Stores' (found in Tycho, Pallas and Vesta).

The Greek and Trojan asteroid clusters have small waystations that buy ore (but don’t refine it) and sell fuel and basic tech. There are no ships for sale here. Trojan and Greek clusters are very safe to spawn in, but they are far from the bigger trade stations, so their difficulty is higher.
The way stations — unlike other trade stations — are far away from the center of the instance they're in.
These stations act as refueling points throughout the system. There are 3 of them, each near a point of interest (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus).
You can buy fuel cans from these stations. These also server as spawn points, which allow spawning without using a new start spawn. These stations rely on players to ship ice boxes to them so that they can continue to produce fuel.
These stations are NOT subject to Trade Zone rules such as requiring salvage claim.
Will buy the MCRN component scrap salvaged from ships that are equipped with martian tech, and sell whole MCRN components. This station also trades for Inner Scrap/components.
This station is within spawn range of dangerous NPCs and is NOT subject to Trade Zone rules such as requiring salvage claim.
Will buy the UNN component scrap salvaged from ships that are equipped with earther tech, and sell whole UNN components. This station also trades for Inner Scrap/components.
This station is within spawn range of dangerous NPCs and is NOT subject to Trade Zone rules such as requiring salvage claim.
Will buy the advanced OPA component scrap salvaged from ships that are equipped with adv. OPA tech, and sell whole advanced OPA components. This station also trades for Inner Scrap/components.
This station is within spawn range of dangerous NPCs and is NOT subject to Trade Zone rules such as requiring salvage claim.
There are additional locations which you can trade at. These will usually be setup for specific types of trades.
A surface installation on the jovian moon, which pays well for those willing to transport goods to resupply the station. Main trade goods are ice boxes and water tanks.
Ganymede is deep in TIH-NPC territory, so you need a fast armed hauler or an escort.
Medina Station, the former Mormon ark, now serves as humanity's outpost in the ring space. Medina has a variety of stores and offers high payouts to those willing to ship goods the long distance. It also houses a unique store, The Gift Shop, where players can buy high value collectable items.
The ring space is a no PvP area as per the trade zone rules, but be mindful of which nation owns the Ariel Comms Array when planning to go here.
