¶ Tech
Tech refers to special components that are non-craftable and are used to build better weapons and upgraded blocks. Tech can be bought from other players or looted as 'scrap' from NPCs, with higher tier tech scrap coming from increasingly difficult enemies.
High tier enemies also provide small quantities of loot from the lower tiers.
Nearly all tech is part of the voting rewards loot table.
¶ Converting Tech
Nation HQs offer a discount, but they are only available to members of its nation.
Converting scrap into whole components happens at a 1:1 ratio, but it is expensive and will cost millions to convert each piece. It's converted by selling to one store and then buying back from the store next to it after it finishes processing. Sell Black Boxes collected from wrecks to help offset the cost.

The tech tier of the belt, entry to mid-level combat performance and lots of utility applications. Gathered from TTU ships in the asteroid belt and TIH pirates around Jupiter.

Umbrella term for both the MCRN and UNN factions, as they are from the “Inner” planets. They seem to be Peer-to-peer on their PDC and torpedo technology, but filling different niches.
Gathered from the FNVY around Saturn, but small amounts are available from some TIH spawns, too.

Gathered in the Adro ringworld by defeating boss NPCs and their escorts, these Heavy Railguns are hard to get even for an experienced hunting party. Experimental Components Scrap can be converted into a Heavy Railgun of your choosing at Tycho Station.

Scan Data is passively generated when your nation or faction holds one of the KOTHs (Ariel Comms Array, Prospero Station).
It can be converted into tech of your choosing, depending on where you go for conversion.

¶ Trade Items
¶ Packages
Packages are assembled and disassembled in a Packager Block. They can be gathered by hunting NPCs. Some people like to disassemble them to get the Ingots, others decide to sell them to any FedEx store, with Medina Station and Ilus paying the highest prices.
¶ Epstein Stabilizer
This is a now unused legacy Item found on NPCs. Nowadays, it can be sold at any FedEx Store.
¶ Ice Boxes & Water Tanks
Converted from Ice at Pallas Station, can be gathered in small amounts by hunting NPCs.
- Ice Boxes can be sold to any Beratnas Gas Store, which converts it to Fuel Cans and Jerrycans
- Both together (Ratio 1:1) can be sold to Ganymede Station or Medina Station to generate Raw Materials (the ‘Ice haul’, dangerous!)
¶ Raw Materials
Trade item used in the last step of the ‘Ice haul’, these can be bought at Ganymede or Medina after delivering Ice Boxes and Water Tanks, then sold to your Nation HQ for a nice profit.
¶ Black Box
The Blackbox drops once per NPC grid, when grinding their Lidar Block. It can be sold for 200.000.000 SC at any Security Office in a Trade Station.

¶ Fusion Fuel Canister
It's reactor fuel. Forget about fission, this is the future! We got nuclear fusion now!
Crafted in an Assembler or gathered while hunting any NPCs.
¶ Fuel Cans and Jerrycans
Fuel Cans for large grids and Jerrycans for small grids can be bought at most NPC stations. They will be consumed to fill up your Hydrogen Tanks if put into an Extractor.
¶ Fusion Coil
A component needed for Epstein Drives. Can be crafted in an Assembler.
¶ Lithium Cells
A component used in Tycho Batteries. Purchasable at a ‘Tycho Tech Store’ on Trade Stations.
Craftable by mining Lithium Ore in Ilus and converting it at the Refinery Barge near Medina Station.
The conversion rate is 144.64 Lithium Ore per 1 Lithium Cell.
¶ Carbon Silicate Plates
Endgame component that needs Graphite that was farmed in Kronos. Looted from FNVY T1/T0 in small amounts.
