These rules apply to all areas of Draconis, both in-game and on all associated platforms (e.g., Discord). They are enforced according to our Discipline Guide.
We cannot monitor everything at all times—if you see something, report it.
Do not attempt to evade the spirit of these rules by exploiting technicalities or loopholes.
- Be respectful and civil. Keep all interactions polite and constructive. Follow the Code of Conduct at all times.
- No harassment or hate speech. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, or any other discriminatory behavior.
- Avoid polarizing topics. Religion, politics, or any controversial discussions (e.g., illegal activities) are not allowed.
- Ironic jokes and light teasing may be acceptable, but direct insults are never tolerated.
- Malicious behavior will not be excused, even if not explicitly covered by a rule.
Do not be an asshole, please.
- Do not share personal information (yours or others'). This includes names, phone numbers, addresses, birth dates, and other sensitive data.
- No impersonation of other players, factions, or staff.
- All content must be SFW (Safe for Work). Assume there may be minors present and keep all content PG-rated.
- No alternate accounts are allowed, either in-game or on Discord.
- Your Discord nickname must match your in-game name (case-sensitive).
- Faction tags are allowed within reasonable limits (e.g.,
Kontu [CAL]
).
- All public communication must be in English to ensure effective moderation. This includes Discord display names.
- Do NOT use
@everyone
or @here
in Discord channels or via the game chat bridge.
- Do not ping or DM staff members directly.
- For general server issues, open a ticket.
- For sensitive concerns, contact a Community Liaison privately.
- When in doubt, ask first. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. We are lenient with first offenses, but pushing boundaries or exploiting grey areas will not be tolerated.
- Constructive feedback is welcome, but do not dictate how the server should be run.
- If your comment starts with “you should…,” “you need to…,” or “why haven’t you…?” consider submitting a support ticket or using the designated feedback channels instead.
These rules apply to all Space Engineers servers, unless otherwise specified by that servers rules.
- Players are required to belong to a faction.
- You may create your own or join an existing faction.
- Factions must be set to hostile in-game before engaging in any hostile actions (IE: Declare War button in-game, No attacking Neutral or Allied targets).
- All blocks must be owned by an active player at all times and must abide by our block limits.
- Limited use of "share with all" is allowed for non-combat reasons such as a shared refueling station, however, the following rules must be followed.
- No grid may have all functional blocks set to "share with all", there must be some functional blocks that do not use that setting.
- "Share with all" must be disabled for all blocks on a grid when it is intentionally being taken into combat.
- Beacons and weapons may not be set to "share with all" for any reason
- Grids (and attached subgrids) are limited to 100 total functional blocks of each type. I.E 100 of any combination of Thrusters, 100 Gyros, 100 Cargo blocks (any combination of large/small), etc.
- Players may not "ransom" or "hold" the limited blocks of another player against their will, or rent their limited blocks out to others. A player may have on their grid: limited blocks owned by themselves and blocks owned by their faction members. You may never hold a limited block under another player's ownership against their will. It must be hacked, destroyed, or otherwise transferred to legal ownership.
- Limited blocks are blocks we restrict via BlockLimiter plugin. Please see a clusters home area for their list of limited blocks
- Non-limited blocks (like beacons) can be held hostage
- Do not abuse respawn ships
- Examples
- Spawning respawn ships to throw them at your enemy or to scout areas players are likely to spawn in:: Not permitted
- Spawning respawn ships to harvest their resources. :: Not permitted
- Learn more by clicking here
- Player action (clang, recoil abuse, friction guns, rotor displacement turrets/ rotor drives, massive Builds, heavy scripting, exploits, etc…) that negatively affect the server are banned completely. Non-compliance with this rule can result in the removal of offending grids without compensation.
¶ Clustering and Voltron'ing
- Voltron’ing ships together (connecting them using connectors, mag locks, landing gear, etc) is not permitted when combat may occur. Also Voltron´ing is not permitted to bypass any block (per grid) limitations.
- Clustering Rule: A complex topic explained here.
- Voltron'ing: Those grids must not be connected together during combat if doing so violates any grid limits when counted as a whole.
Do not attempt to keep duped ships, just as lost ships and tracked and restored, duplicates are also tracked and removed. If you attempt to hide the duplicate ship you will be punished, this will include a 5 day temp ban for the first instance and a full ban for the second instance where an appeal will be required after a minimum 2 month period.
We will also remove the original and duped grids (or cargo) involved in any attempts to hide/keep dupes.
We do our best to quickly resolve ships lost to server issues and expect players to quickly remove duplicates they receive from server issues without any duplicated cargo being taken. You can use the !h save and !h remove # commands to easily remove them.
Reminder - If you are unsure if something will break the rules, just open a support ticket and ask.
We do our best to treat each situation with equity, and strive for consistence in discipline. However, extreme infractions may result in a harsher penalty than viewed below.
- 24-hour mute
- 7-day break (in-game ban / discord mute)
- Ban from community (indefinite, in-game ban / discord mute , minimum 1 month before appeal possible)
- If a ban is permanent, user shall be removed from all SDG platforms without appeal
Bans can not be so cut and dry, it’s pretty much up to the person and whether they’ve shown a desire to change their behaviour to align with server rules.
We reserve the right to kick or ban you from Discord and the Server. Attempting to circumvent a ban will be seen as a violation of rule one and your new account/IP will be banned as well.
Do not directly message or ping members of the staff. Go to #🎫sigma-support and open a ticket by following the instructions in that channel. This will create a new temporary channel for you to speak privately and directly with staff.
However if you have a concern and need to contact a member of staff privately feel free to contact the community liaisons.
You must be logged in to the game server or ready to log in to the server before you pull a ticket for any matter that does not relate EXCLUSIVELY to Discord.
We will do our best to answer your ticket as quickly as possible, but please remember that our staff are people with day jobs that dedicate more hours then we are comfortable counting to maintaining the server and answering player concerns.
Furthermore request for specific members of staff to assist you may not be possible due to the volume of tickets we handle. Your patience is appreciated.
